Maya Saban (born October 8, 1978 in Berlin ) is a German singer .

Career

Maya Saban is the daughter of a German Jew and the Israeli Shlomo Saban, who lives in Germany. Maya Saban started singing as a child. In the late 1990s she was the voice of the Music Instructor dance project . After two years she left the group and worked as a background singer at 3p . On the 3p Evolution sampler she sang the song You don't know . In 2003 she was a guest singer on the album Leben von Schiller , where she took over the vocals for the songs I Miss You and I've Seen It All . Maya Saban had her breakthrough in 2005 with the single All That Doesn't Change It , which she recorded with Cosmo Klein . Her subsequent debut album with each tone reached number 50 on the charts. In 2006 she took part in the project "Home" with the song Licht and published the title song Geh Deine Weg on the Disney Princess Sampler .

In March 2007 Saban released her second album Hautnah and the single of the same name. The title song of the “Lichtblicke” campaign on Radio NRW became very close . Once again, Disney became aware of Saban. On the Platinum Edition 101 Dalmatiner she sings the title song Never Traue Cruella de Vil .

In May 2010 Saban appeared together with Anji Hinke, Cheri Kedida and Grace Risch as a background singer for Lena Meyer-Landrut at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 and won.

In 2013 and 2014 Lena Meyer-Landrut used Maya Saban as a side coach for the successful SAT.1 / Pro 7 TV show The Voice Kids .

Maya Saban has been in a private relationship with her former duet partner Cosmo Klein for several years. They have a daughter together.

Saban worked on her project Jewdyssee , which combines the lyrics of Yiddish classics with modern pop and club sounds. The debut album "5773" was released in July 2012. In addition to appearances in her hometown of Berlin and other European countries, her travel route took her across the USA to the holy land to convey the "Neshumme", the soul of Jewdyssee.
