Music Instructor was a German dance and electro project which achieved several chart successes in German-speaking countries. The group was most active in the late 1990s and early 2000s. There was also collaboration with artists from other areas. Music Instructor's best known pieces are Hymn , Super Sonic and Get Freaky.

history

The original line-up consisted of the musicians Mike Michaels, Mark “MM” Dollar, Mark Tabak (The Triple-M Crew) and the singer Holly Trance (Holger Trens). Music Instructor had its first hit in 1995 with Hymn . This is a cover version of a song by Ultravox from 1982, in which music instructors explain the individual components of a dance hit.

This was followed by more singles Hands in the Air , Dance and Dream a Little Dream , which appeared on the first album The World of Music Instructor . A cover version of Friends Will Be Friends was also recorded for a dance tribute album for the band Queen , Queen Dance Tracks Vol. 1 .

On the second album Electro City , which was recorded with the singer Maya Saban , you can find more cover versions: Let the Music Play ( Shannon ), Jam On It ( Newcleus ), Don't Stop the Rock ( Freestyle ) and Pack Jam ( Look Out for the OVC) ( Jonzun Crew ). In the music videos for the singles Super Sonic , Rock Your Body and Get Freaky , which were also included on the album , the Berlin breakdance group Flying Steps and the animated character Abe from the Oddworld computer games could be seen. Also present was Dean Burke, who helped many of Triple-M's works to gold or platinum. The style of music, however, had meanwhile shifted towards electropop. The following album Electro City was re-released in the same year as Electric City of Music Instructor with the Oddworld remix by Get Freaky , which replaced the original.

After that, Music Instructor released a remix for Dreams in My Fantasy ( DJ Session One ). The singer Amber was involved on the following single DJ's Rock da House and on Super Fly (Upper MC) the rapper Dean from Highland and the Lunatics was involved, as well as the singer Veronique on Play My Music , the last single of the project so far.

The Triple-M crew (Mike Michaels, Mark “MM” Dollar and Mark Tabak) also produced artists such as Highland, The Boyz and Ayman .
