Shannon (singer)

Shannon (born Brenda Shannon Greene in Washington DC on May 2, 1958 ) is an American singer.

Greene grew up in Brooklyn , NY and became a singer with the New York Jazz Ensemble at the age of 20 . The hit Let the Music Play from 1983 gave her the commercial breakthrough as Shannon. The following single Give Me Tonight reached middle chart positions. More records followed by 1986, some of which made it into the dance and lower regions of the R&B and pop hit lists. Then she lost her record deal . Only in the last few years did she draw attention to herself again with occasional publications.
