Junior Vasquez's career began as a DJ in the New York nightclub "Sound Factory". A short time later he was working in other hot spots in the Big Apple , including the "Tunnel", " Arena at the Palladium ", "Juniorverse at Twilo" and "Earth at Exit". Gradually he developed into one of the most influential DJs worldwide; for example, he works on Prince's album Graffiti Bridge (1990) .

In 2003 Vasques started his show Junior's World on KTU, which became known nationwide thanks to the well-frequented website. As a producer and remixer, he helped veteran stars, including Elton John , The Pretenders and Cyndi Lauper , achieve success with younger audiences. With the dance tracks Get Your Hands off My Man! (1995 place 22) and If Madonna Calls (1996 place 24) he brought two singles into the UK Top 40 .
