BMW 1 Series

The BMW 1 Series is a model series of the compact class from the manufacturer BMW .

The BMW 1 Series emerged from the BMW Compact , which was available from spring 1994 to autumn 2004 as part of the BMW 3 Series.

So far there have been the following model series of the BMW 1 Series:

  • BMW E87 (first generation, 2004-2013)
  • BMW F20 (second generation, 2011-2019)
  • BMW F52 (notchback, since 2017)
  • BMW F40 (third generation, since 2019)

Registration numbers

Since the market launch in 2004 up to and including December 2019, 814,443 BMW 1 Series have been newly registered in the Federal Republic of Germany. 2008 was the most successful sales year with 75,621 units.
