Vivid (English, lively) was a German rock band from Salzgitter that was founded in 1991 and disbanded in 2002. The band name came about before their first appearance after the title of a music album by Living Color .

Band history

The band was founded in 1991 and made their first appearance at a city festival in Salzgitter. After recording a mix CD in 1994, they managed to record a demo tape with the help of Jens Krause, who produced Fury in the Slaughterhouse . After their grunge sound was given electronic aids, the band signed a contract with Virgin Records .

The album, recorded in Malta in 1997, was released in August of the same year. This was followed by an appearance at the SWF3 New Pop Festival before the band performed at Rock am Ring in 1998 . At the Echo 1998 they won the Hamburg Young Talent Award for the promotion of national pop music, endowed with DM 40,000.

Sundown to Sunrise was the second album. It was released in July 1999 after the single Off We Go was released in May . Vivid had its own studio in Salzgitter, where the last album Auto All was recorded in 2001 . In 2002 the breakup of the band was announced.
