Echo Award 1998
The 7th Echo was awarded on March 5, 1998 in Hamburg in the Congress Center Hamburg . For the first time a young talent award was given and a special echo was given for special musical achievements. The Schlager category was divided into groups and solo artists. The winners of the evening were Tic Tac Toe and Rammstein, each with two prizes . As in the previous year, the event was broadcast by ARD . Axel Bulthaupt conducted the show .
