Juliane Werding (born July 19, 1956 in Essen ) is a German pop and pop singer .

Life

schooldays

Juliane Werding grew up in Essen and attended primary school there from 1963 and the BMV school from 1967 .

1970s

In 1970 she recorded a demo tape and sent it to the television show Talentschuppen des Südwestfunk . She was then invited to a preliminary decision, which she won. On June 19, 1971, the first appearance in the talent shed followed with the song Das Schilf . Even before the show, she received her first record deal .

Her musical breakthrough came in spring 1972 with the release of Am Tag, als Conny Kramer died on Hansa . Hans-Ulrich Weigel wrote the piece as an edited German cover version of The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down ( The Band , 1969), the arrangement of which was clearly based on the English-language cover version by Joan Baez from 1971. 1990s
