Career

Menck and Bohn, both born in Hamburg, met in 1995. The couple had their first hit as Boyz R Us with the single Singin 'In My Mind . In 1996 the duo made their debut as Brooklyn Bounce and released The Theme (of Progressive Attack) , the success of which led to the duo's first debut album, The Beginning .

Menck and Bohn work exclusively in the studio and are not on stage when performing. Instead, the group was accompanied by several different vocalists and dancers who have worked with the two German producers over the years. The list includes René “Diablo” Behrens (formerly 666), Ulrika Bohn, Alejandra Cuevas-Moreno and Stephan “Damon” Zschoppe. The singers were only listed on Bass, Beats and Melody , released November 2000.

In 2006, Mental Madness Records released an album titled System Shock (The Lost Album 1999) , which features some of the production duo's earliest materials. This album is only available in a digital format.
