Echo award 2010
The 19th echo award of the German Phono Academy took place on March 4, 2010 at the Berlin Palais am Funkturm . The award ceremony was moderated by Matthias Opdenhövel and Sabine Heinrich . As with every Echo Awards, the commercial success of the award winners was crucial. The 2010 Echo was awarded in 24 categories. The industry prizes for the media partner, the trading partner, the producer team, the social commitment and the music DVD production were already awarded during a charity dinner organized by the Musik Hilft Foundation on March 3, 2010. The American musician Michael Jackson , who died in 2009, was inducted into the newly created Echo Hall of Fame.
