Working on a Dream is Bruce Springsteen's 16th studio album and was released on January 23, 2009.

background

It is his fourth collaboration with producer Brendan O'Brien ( AC / DC , Pearl Jam , Bob Dylan , Neil Young etc.) who both produced and mixed the album. The songs were created in the Southern Tracks Studio in Atlanta, and some recordings took place in New York, Los Angeles and New Jersey. In addition to the first single Working on a Dream , the long player contains the song The Wrestler as a bonus track . The play, which Springsteen had written exclusively for the Mickey Rourke film of the same name , was awarded a Golden Globe.

“Towards the end of 'Magic' recording, I was so excited about the return to pop production that I just kept writing songs. When my friend, producer Brendan O'Brien, heard the new songs, he said 'let's move on'. And that's exactly what we did over the course of the following year - we went to the studio with the E Street Band during the tour breaks. I hope that with 'Working On A Dream' we could capture the energy of the band that just came off the stage where we had some of our best concerts. All the songs were written very quickly, mostly we used the first take and it was a lot of fun from start to finish. "
