In Concert / MTV Plugged is the second concert album by US rock musician Bruce Springsteen . The concert took place at Warner Hollywood Studios on September 22, 1992 and was part of Springsteen's Other Band Tour. On December 15, 1992 it was released on VHS and on April 12, 1993 it was released on CD by Columbia Records , in the USA the album was only released on August 26, 1997.

The concert

Bruce Springsteen starts the concert alone with an acoustic version of the previously unreleased song Red Headed Woman , after which Springsteen played with the Other Band , a group of various musicians, including Roy Bittan and Patti Scialfa (the E Street Band was at the time separately), the rest of the concert with electrically amplified instruments, from which the name of the album, MTV Un Plugged, is derived. For the most part, songs from Springsteen's new albums Lucky Town and Human Touch , which were released simultaneously on March 31, 1992, were played. There are also many solos by Springsteen, including a. at Atlantic City and Thunder Road .

On the front of the album you can see two photos of Bruce Springsteen during the concert, in the upper right corner is written BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN IN CONCERT over three lines in large letters , in the lower left corner is the MTV Unplugged logo , with the 'Un 'is crossed out by Unplugged with a red "X". On the back, the head of Springsteen is printed as a cutout from the two photos on the front, the list of titles is shown in black lettering on a white background and here too any unplugged items are crossed out as described above.

The VHS version, which was also broadcast on MTV, contains 18 titles, the LP and CD versions only 13, the DVD contains 19 titles, the bonus title is Roll of the Dice . All titles are written by Bruce Springsteen.
