Magic ( English for magic or sorcery) is the 15th studio album by the American rock musician Bruce Springsteen and was released on September 28, 2007.

history

Apart from the song Long Walk Home , which was already played in a different form on the Seeger Sessions Band Tour , all tracks on the album were written towards the end of 2006. The selection of the songs was left to producer Brendan O'Brien . These selected tracks were then recorded at Atlanta's Southern Tracks Studios over a period of approximately eight weeks. For organizational and logistical reasons, only a few band members were invited to the studio for the individual recordings of the instrumental tracks and overdubs .

The total of 12 songs last about 48 minutes. The last piece, Terry's Song, is often not given at all or only as a hidden track . All titles were written by Bruce Springsteen himself.
