The search continues - live is the fourth live album by the German pop duo Rosenstolz . It was released on April 24, 2009. The album was recorded as part of the “Are you on tour 08/09”, which started in November 2008 and included 30 indoor concerts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The tour ended prematurely on January 26, 2009 in Hamburg because Peter Plate fell ill with burnout syndrome . The last two concerts in Cologne and Hanover as well as the additional open-air tour with 15 dates planned for summer 2009 have been canceled.
The concert recording from December 5, 2008 from the Munich Olympic Hall with 24 titles and a length of two and a half hours can be found on DVD as well as on the double live CD . In addition to the songs from the studio album Die Suche geht weiter , the concert included songs from the entire history of the band. Since a horse show was taking place in the hall at the time, everything had to be rebuilt for the concert the night before and the entire floor, which was covered with sand, had to be covered. The DVD was produced by the Hans & Grete team. 15 cameras, including a Spidercam, were used to record the concert.
The DVD also features a making-of with interviews and a look behind the scenes. AnNa R. moderates the menu navigation. A limited special edition in the hardcover book also provides both versions in a double pack and a compilation of photos from the rehearsal, sound check, cloakroom and concert.
With the release of live CD and DVD, the album The Search Continues made the leap from 43rd to third in the German album charts.
At the Echo Awards 2010 , the concert recording was nominated as one of the five best DVDs in the “Best Live DVD” category.
