Only once is the second studio album by the Berlin pop band Rosenstolz released in 1994 . The songs were recorded from late 1993 to early 1994. All titles were written by AnNa R. and Peter Plate.

background

In the summer of 1993, Rosenstolz began recording Nur once again in the studio . On May 23, 1994 it was finally released at the same time as the single of the same name. There is also a music video for the single, a low-budget production. In the black-and-white video, AnNa and Peter Plate can be seen as lovers, who fall out over the course of the plot and finally get back together. The video was only shot five years after the single was released in 1999, after the first, great success with the best-of album Alles Gute (1998).

While the productions remained slow, Rosenstolz at least had live successes due to the ever larger concerts. This did not change after the second single Kuss der Diebe , which was released on October 24, 1994.

The album offers two facets: a happy side, which is particularly evident in the pop and rock songs and deals with topics such as sex (nymphomaniac) or parties (cocktail party) , and a sad side, which mainly consists of ballads with profound lyrics. It's about unfulfilled wishes (awakened alive) , hope (Little Prince) and the desire for a partnership (the cigarette afterwards) .
