The big life is the tenth and most successful music album by the German pop duo Rosenstolz , it was released on March 3, 2006.

The single Ich bin ich (we are we) landed at number 16 in the 2006 annual charts and was awarded gold in Germany. I go on fire reached number 70. The album itself achieved the greatest success. In the 2006 annual charts, it took first place with almost one million records sold. To date, it has sold more than a million times.

On March 23, 2007, the benefit single Aus Liebe I want to know everything was released . The entire proceeds went to the German AIDS Foundation. A total of five singles were released from the album.

The main instruments were played live in the studio. Stylistically, the album is characterized by a poppy, but increasingly earthy, calm style with increasingly melancholy content.

The album title came about when all the songs were finished. Since, in their opinion, none of the song titles fit as album titles, they finally chose The Great Life as the title, as the stories of the songs are from life.

The album has won several awards, including eleven gold in Germany and one gold in Switzerland.
