His musical career brought him from a young age, among other things, from the Hallenser Klink formation to the Uschi Brüning band and via the Modern Soul Band to Stern Meißen , one of the most successful bands in the GDR in the 1980s.

In 1985 Hassbecker was one of the Gitarreros , an all-star band that formed around the most popular guitarists in the GDR. On this tour he also got to know and love the front woman of the band Silly, Tamara Danz . In the middle of 1986 he joined Silly as a guitarist and over time became one of the three main composers of the band alongside Tamara Danz and Rüdiger Barton . About six months before her death on July 22, 1996 he and Tamara married.

1998 Hassbeck became the father of a third son; The mother is the actress Cathrin Vaessen .

Together with Rüdiger “Ritchie” Barton, he has been running the Danzmusik studio on the outskirts of Berlin for several years and, alongside Silly, plays in Joachim Witt's band, among others . Hassbecker made a name for himself in recent years as a studio musician and music producer, including for Joachim Witt. He works regularly with the VALICON Producer Forum ( Ingo Politz , Bernd Wendtland, Brix) and his filigree guitar playing can be heard on numerous national and international productions, for example on the album of the 2008 DSDS winner, Thomas Godoj . Hassbecker accompanied Nik Page as guitarist on his Tiefenrausch tour 2005. There he acted together with Dara Pain, Mr Petereit , Jäcki Reznicek , Ritchie Barton, Karsten Klick and Joachim Witt.

In autumn 2005 Silly became active again, and Uwe Hassbecker toured successfully through Germany with Silly + guests (including Katy Karrenbauer , Anna Loos , Anja Krabbe , Toni Krahl and IC Falkenberg ). Anna Loos is now a permanent singer for Silly.

Hassbecker's son Daniel Hassbecker has been playing Silly's second keyboard and cello since 2005 .

Hassbecker accompanied most of the common songs on a classical concert guitar. Further joint concerts followed. Hassbecker also recorded a few songs on Casapietra's new album Verführung and accompanies him to many concerts on his current tour.

Together with Anna Loos and Silly he has played many concerts since 2006, including on the electroacoustic tour and together with the Babelsberg film orchestra , the Puhdys , Karat and many others on the Ostrock in Klassik -Tour.
