Anja Krabbe (born September 14, 1970 in Berlin ) is a German musician , singer, guitarist, composer, lyricist and producer.

Life and accomplishments

Anja Krabbe started playing guitar as a child . In her teenage years , she was a singer and bassist in her first band called Green Sock . After graduating from high school and a voluntary social year , Krabbe began studying special education and continued to play in various bands.

After Krabbe dropped out of her first degree, she went to the “Hanns Eisler” University of Music in Berlin to study jazz singing. Here, too, she only stayed until the end of her undergraduate studies. When she started studying music, she dropped out of all the groups she had played with. During her studies she was temporarily active in the Federal Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Peter Herbolzheimer . Since 1996 she has played with Wolfi, Anja and the Tiger Gang as part of the Tigerenten Club at events, but also composed film music . For example, she was involved in the soundtrack for “ Life is a Construction Site ” or “ In July ” (director: Fatih Akin ). For the feature film Migratory Birds ... Once after Inari , she sang the theme song "Hortu" in a fantasy language.

After the “Belcanto” tour with Udo Lindenberg , she got her own record deal in 1998 and released the solo album 497500 with the songs Sometimes and Mach mich an-ja . Despite its promotion, including in Harald Schmidt's show , the album, like the second work Anjaka , published in 2002, was not very successful. Until separating from her record company in 2003, she worked as a songwriter for artists such as Nino de Angelo and Samajona .

In 2003 she and friends founded the pop rock band AK4711 , a women's band. In 2005 the group signed with Grönland Records , in 2006 the debut album Erste Hilfe was released . On March 7, 2007, AK4711 announced its liquidation.

In autumn 2005 Anja Krabbe was on stage as a guest soloist with Silly , who started a comeback with the show “Silly & Guests”. For the 2006 World Cup , Wolfi, Anja and the Tigerbande released the album Flanke Schuss und Tor , for which she wrote some songs.

In 2010/2011 Krabbe took part in the show " Yma - too good to be true " at the Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin . In 2011 she worked as a composer and lyricist for the winter show “Berlin Illuminated”. She created songs and melodies for the children's shows “Pretty Different” and “No Snow Chaos” as well as for the palace's last grand show “ Show me - Glamor is back ”. She also contributed songs and texts for the 2014–2016 production of the Friedrichstadt-Palast “ The Wyld - Not of This World ”.

With the Rosenstolz successful team Peter Plate and Ulf Leo Sommer she also contributed songs to the albums of hit icons Vicky Leandros and Michelle and wrote lyrics for the international versions of the "Bibi & Tina" films 1 & 2. On 15. April 2016 the album "I would do it again" by Michelle was released. Anja Krabbe and her co-authors contributed the radio single “We celebrate life” and two other tracks for this album.

In 2016, at the request of the Hong Kong company “Dream Cruises”, Anja Krabbe took over the musical direction of the creation of the main show “The Voyage Of A Lovers Dream” for the 999-seat theater on board the newly built luxury cruise ship “Genting Dream”. She and her team also contributed compositions and musical arrangements for this show. The show premiered on November 12, 2016 in the home port "Guangzhou", Hong Kong.

On November 19, 2016, the children's show "Crazy Sun" celebrated its premiere at Friedrichstadt-Palast Berlin. Anja Krabbe also contributed songs and lyrics for this children's show.

In 2017 and 2018 Anja Krabbe wrote and produced songs and lyrics for established hit and pop artists as well as newcomers. Titles can be found u. a. on albums by the artists Ben Zucker , Maria Voskania , Bernhard Brink , Roland Kaiser and Inka Bause .

In 2019, Anja Krabbe and Michael Beckmann , Thomas Stöwer and Tamara Olorga received the award “Best Song in Film” for Come Back from “ Snow White and the Magic of the Dwarfs ” (director: Ngo The Chau ).

Others

Since 1999 Krabbe has been the sponsor of the Off Road Kids project , which supports street children in Germany.
