Michael Beckmann studied journalism, musicology and economics at the Free University of Berlin in the 1980s . In 1985 he played the electric bass with Die Suurbiers and from 1986 to 1990 in the band Rainbirds , with which he played two albums. From 1989 to 1992 he played with Depp Jones and had appearances with Grant Hart . From 1999 he worked as a film music composer. Since 2000, Beckmann has been in charge of various film and television projects as executive producer and is responsible for various film scores as a composer. He made music for the television series "Charlotte Roche meets ..."
