Age rating

In Germany, the film was approved by the FSK from the age of 12. The statement of reasons for the release states that the first half of the film contains some rough, sexualized dialogues as well as implied sexual acts, such as " masturbating a bet " between the boys, but that such scenes are compensated for by the second half of the film, as this is a more serious, clearly have a pedagogical character with positive messages: "The immature behavior in the first half therefore also serves to show the positive development and the maturation process of the young people, who ultimately find harmonious and respectful relationships."

Use in school lessons

The online portal kinofenster.de recommends the film for the subjects biology, German, ethics, religion, art, philosophy, psychology and social studies and offers materials for the film for teaching purposes. There it says, among other things, in the course of the film, the thoughts of the young people on the subject of sex were repeatedly reformulated into questions and discussed together in the group and commented on by the sexologist. The film could be a good introduction to classic sexual education in class.

criticism

Film critic Hans-Ulrich Pönack was horrified by Get Lucky and described it as the “most unsavory German shit house annual film ever”, “Schoolgirl Boy Report 2019”. He also described the film with the words: “On a primitive level that is neither funny nor original, funny or provocative. It's just terribly boring. As an inconceivable annoyance at the cinema: stupid, embarrassing, tasteless. Terribly amateurish in presentation and practice. The annoyance is enormous. Not because of uninterrupted banality and stupidity. To permanent embarrassment. ”In the end he gave 0 out of 5 possible points.
