The Donauhalle is a multi-purpose hall in the city of Ulm in Baden-Württemberg . It is connected to the local exhibition center.
The building costs of the hall amounted to 1.9 million DM . After a year of construction, the hall was opened in May 1956 with a breeding cattle sales event as part of the 60th anniversary of the Upper Swabian Fleckviehzuchtverein.
In 1964 the German Gymnastics Championships took place in the Donauhalle. As part of the 1972 Summer Olympics , the hall was the venue for four handball tournament games .
In addition to these sporting events, cultural events such as concerts and exhibitions also take place in the Donauhalle .
