Annett Louisan ( real name Annett Päge ; born April 2, 1977 in Havelberg ) is a German singer . She derived her stage name Louisan from the first name of her grandmother Louise.

Life

Annett Louisan grew up with her mother and grandparents in Schönhausen (Elbe) until she moved to Hamburg with her mother at the age of twelve . There she soon took up painting studies at the art college , which she financed by working as a studio musician.

Louisan lives in Hamburg, has been married to Marcus Brosch since 2014 and has a daughter.

She is an ambassador for Fairtrade Germany and works for the German José Carreras Leukemia Foundation .

Annett Louisan became known in 2004 with the song Das Spiel . Her producer Frank Ramond wrote the lyrics . The first album Bohème reached gold status six weeks after its release and platinum status after nine weeks , making it one of the fastest-selling debut albums in the German music industry. The compositions were written by Hardy Kayser and Matthias Haß .

In the spring of 2005 Annett Louisan toured in 25 cities in Germany with sold-out concerts. B. in Frankfurt (Alte Oper), Hamburg (Musikhalle), Munich (Circus Krone) or Berlin (three times Schillertheater).

Musically, their second album Unexspoken from 2005 moved away from pop and focused more on the Franco-German chanson tradition. Louisan used musette waltzes, tango and bossa nova rhythms . The album stayed in the German charts for more than 50 weeks. In the spring of 2006 a big tour followed with many sold out concerts. In autumn of that year there were 30 more sold out concerts.

Louisan sang the title song The Little Difference for the German comedy Why Men Don't Listen and Women Park Badly from 2007. Like the entire film soundtrack, the song was composed by James Last and appeared on Annett Louisan's third album, The optimal life . Even after the album The optimal life was released , Annett Louisan went on tour.

In October 2008, Louisan's fourth album Teilzeithippie was released . The album debuted at number two and stayed in the charts for 31 weeks. The singer also went on tour and completed a total of 50 concerts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

In March 2011, Louisan's fifth studio album was released in My Middle . Most of the songs come from the cooperation with Louisan's new musical partner Danny Dziuk .

Her sixth studio album was released on February 14, 2014, entitled Too Much Information . With that she made her direct entry into the top 3 of the German album charts again.

In 2015, she played with gunslinger song spinners as part of MTV Unplugged one. Revolverheld's singer, Johannes Strate , described her as a long-time friend of the band and a musical role model.

In 2016 she took part in the third season of the television program Sing mein Song - Das Tauschkonzert and on May 13 released the album Berlin, Cape Town, Prague with ten cover versions of songs by Rammstein (Engel) , Kraftwerk ( Das Model ) , Marteria , Wanda , Philipp Poisel , Ich + Ich , Tokio Hotel (Durch den Monsun) , Münchener Freiheit , Udo Jürgens and David Bowie ( Heroes ) in his German version.

Her seventh studio album Kleine Große Liebe was released in spring 2019 . The double album was produced by Michael Geldreich.

Annett Louisan's band consists of the band leader and guitarist Hardy Kayser , Mirko Michalzik on guitar, drummer Christoph Buhse, Olaf Casimir on double bass, Jürgen Kumlehn on guitar and Friedrich Paravicini , the optional accordion, a Wurlitzer electric piano Playing the cello or harmonica.
