Love is for everyone is the sixth studio album by the German band Rammstein . The eleven songs were recorded during a six-week stay at Sonoma Mountain Studios , California. As with all previous Rammstein albums, the producer was Jacob Hellner .

The album was released on October 16, 2009. It contains eleven tracks, including the single Pussy , which was released on September 18, 2009 . The Special Edition comes with a second CD with five bonus tracks . In addition to the five bonus tracks, the digital download version of the album also contains the bonus song Rammlied (Thrash-terpiece Remix by Machine Head ) . Due to the indexing by the Federal Testing Office for Media Harmful to Young People , the album was re-released shortly after its first release in the censored version instead of a digipak in a jewel case with only ten instead of eleven songs in mid-November.

On December 21, 2009, a limited special edition called the Deluxe Edition appeared in an aluminum case designed as a flight case , which, in addition to the CD, contained six different pink-colored dildos , handcuffs and a bottle of lubricant . Since the publication took place after the indexing, the case contained the censored version.

The album is the best-selling newcomer album of 2009. It was able to assert itself at number one in the respective album charts in eight countries, alongside Germany, Austria and Switzerland and others. a. also in Denmark and Finland.

The album was indexed on November 5, 2009 by the Federal Testing Office for Media Harmful to Young People at the request of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs . The reason given was the glorification of violence in the piece Ich tu dir weh and a picture of the booklet on the CD. For these reasons, from November 11, 2009, the original version was only sold on request to adult customers and could no longer be advertised. A shortened edition of the album about the criticized title Ich tu dich weh ( I hurt you) was published a little later.

Due to an interim injunction requested by the band from the Cologne Administrative Court on May 31, 2010 and with effect from June 8, 2010, the album was temporarily removed from the indexing list. The lawsuit itself was confirmed in October 2011, which meant that the deletion of the list could be retained. The Bonn regional court confirmed this decision in June 2016.

The album cover of the standard version shows the band members standing and sitting around a table on which lies a naked woman who is being "cut" by Till Lindemann with an ax. Above the picture are the words Rammstein and Liebe ist für alle in golden letters. The cover of the Special Edition shows a golden heart with the title Love is there for everyone in golden letters .

Ramming song

The Rammlied was released with the single Pussy and is the B-side of the same.

I hurt you

The piece deals with S / M fantasies. Even before the album was indexed, Liebe ist für alle da , it was confirmed that Ich tu dir weh weh would be released as the second single. The single was released on January 29, 2010 in Austria and Switzerland. In Germany it was only available in music stores. The corresponding music video was shot again at the end of October 2009 under the direction of the Swede Jonas Åkerlund . In the music video you can see the band making music on a stage. Since the song was one of the reasons for the indexing of the album, it was performed in Germany until December 11, 2009 with modified text, until the instrumental version of the song was also indexed. After the album is unindexed, it will be performed again in Germany in its original text. In June 2010 the single was released in Germany.

At the 2011 Echo Awards, the video received the award for best national video .

On the re-edition of the CD after the indexing of the album, there is only a pause of several seconds instead of the title. On the cover it is marked with a red line through it as Ich tu dir deh and with the footnote removed after censorship by the authorities of the Federal Republic of Germany . The letters of the lyrics in the booklet have been replaced by X except for short excerpts .

Good Hunting

In Waidmanns Heil , metaphors from the hunter's jargon are used throughout . The text is largely based on Till Lindemann's poem "Sautod", which was published in 2002 in his poetry book Messer .

The song is featured in the video game Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock , released in 2010 .

shark

The piece is based strongly on the morality of Mackie Messer from Brecht's 1928 three penny opera .

The song serves as the third single release from the album. The CD was released on May 28, 2010 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, in all other countries from May 31, 2010 and in the USA from June 1, 2010. The music video was first released on Friday, April 23 shown on the band's official MySpace page. The video was again developed together with Joern Heitmann . The shooting location was Marquardt Castle .

B ********

The stars in the title stand for the word "Bückstabü", a neologism devised by Till Lindemann . The text is about the need for this "Bückstabü", although it is not advised to take it. According to a statement by Richard Z. Kruspe, "Bückstabü" means whatever you want . Furthermore, it was mentioned in an interview that Bückstabü is a synonym for desire, addiction and unbridled urges. In Till Lindemann's poetry "Messer" there is a poem called "Nele" with similar lines.

Do not do that,
do not touch that
because you can get burned.
Do not do that,
oh, let it be
it hurts and you will cry.

spring in Paris

The first of the two ballads on the album Love is for All tells of the defloration by an experienced, older woman, explicitly a prostitute. This is referred to by the line “the lips are often sold ...”. The French chorus comes from the chanson Non, je ne regrette rien by Édith Piaf .

Viennese blood

The content of the play Wiener Blut is based on the case of Josef Fritzl , in which a father kept his daughter prisoner in the cellar for 24 years and fathered seven children with her.

The album was originally supposed to be entitled Wiener Blut . However, this idea was quickly rejected because Falco had already released an album of the same name at the time .

Pussy

The music video for the single Pussy was made by director Jonas Åkerlund . It shows the band members having sexual intercourse with porn actresses and had its official premiere on September 16, 2009 on a Dutch erotic portal. However, drummer Christoph Schneider stated that the band members were doubled in the video and were not in front of the camera themselves. The single contains the A-side Pussy (Radio Edit) and the B-side Rammlied.

Love is there for everyone

The title track of the album. It attracted particular attention when it became available as a leak on the Internet in summer 2009. As a consequence, the band took legal action against fan forums and internet blogs.

Quote from the beginning: I close my eyes, then I see them. I lock her in my imagination. I close my eyes, she doesn't fight back. Love is for everyone, not for me.

Quote from the end: I'll close my eyes, we're alone. I hold her tight and nobody sees her cry. She closes her eyes, she doesn't fight back. Love is there for everyone, including me.

More

The song "More" on the album was written before the height of the financial crisis . Originally, according to Paul Lander, the song was to be understood biologically.

Red sand

The second ballad on the album describes a pistol duel between two men for the favor of a woman. The lyric self is fatally hit by its adversary. An orchestral version of the song can also be found on the bonus CD. In this song certain similarities to the literary work Effi Briest can be seen.

Liese

Liese is the third track on the album, in which the melody of Roter Sand is processed. In contrast to the first two versions, the song deals with the subject of coercion and even rape. The keyboardist Lorenz's wife Jenny Rosemeyer whistled for this title .
