album Love is there for everyone

I hurt you is a song by the new German hard band Rammstein . It is the second single from the album Love Is For Everyone and was released on January 4, 2010. The music and lyrics of the song come from Rammstein himself, it was produced by Rammstein and Jacob Hellner .

In addition to the CD version, a 7 "and 12" vinyl single was produced, both of which are limited to 2,000 copies each. The cover of the single shows a heart shaped out of two barbs with the title I hurt you . The Rammstein lettering can be seen above the heart. In addition to the title track, the maxi single for Ich tu dir weh contains the B-sides "Pussy (Lick It Remix by Scooter )", "Rammlied (Rammin 'the Steins Remix by Devin Townsend )" and "Ich tu dir (Smallboy Remix by Jochen Schmalbach) "which cannot be found on the studio album.

indexing

Shortly after the album was released, the song was indexed by the Federal Inspectorate for Media Harmful to Young People because of the distribution of depictions harmful to young people . Sado (maso) practices and animations for unprotected sexual intercourse, which were particularly exhibited, ensured that the album could no longer be sold to minors and that the song could no longer be played at concerts. The indexing took place mainly because of the following lines of text:

"With you I have the choice of torment,
barbed wire in the urinary canal, put
your meat in salt and pus,
first you die, but then you live on,
bites, kicks, hard blows,
nail nippers, blunt saw, make a
wish I don't say no,
and introduce rodents to you. "

- I hurt you

Some time after the indexing, Rammstein released an adult version of the album. On June 8, 2010, the index was lifted and the single was released on June 25, also in Germany.

Music video

The music video premiered online on December 21, 2009 on an adult site. In the video, the band members play the song with black and gray instruments. Till Lindemann and Oliver Riedel wear contact lenses that constantly change their colors. During the entire process, a bright white light shines from Lindemann's mouth as soon as he sings. The necessary energy is fed through the cheek directly into the mouth via a cable. For this, the front man had his cheek pierced. At the end of the song, the stage fills with electricity and blows up, after which only the band's logo can be seen. The music video is directed by Jonas Åkerlund . Cindy Burnay took care of the production. It was shot on October 19, 2009 in a hall of the Berlin company Black Box Music, where the band was doing their tour rehearsals.

Charts

I hurt you was published worldwide, but it did not make it into the charts because of the indexing in many countries; only in Austria and France did the song make it into the official singles charts. In the UK, the song hit the national rock charts.
