Life

Prior to his career as a producer, Hellner tried his hand at playing drums and guitar, but found that he enjoyed making music more than interpreting it. He was also a teacher of computer technology and programs. After returning from a job in San Francisco , he got the opportunity to produce the band Clawfinger's debut album, Deaf Dumb Blind . This was his breakthrough as a producer. He has been the band's producer since the first Rammstein album and also produced the first album of the Rammstein guitarist Kruspe's side project , called Emigrate .

When the concert DVD and CD Rammstein: Paris was released in 2017, Hellner was still responsible for the sound. For the subsequent seventh Rammstein album, which was released in 2019, the band decided on a new production team.
