Lichtspielhaus is a video album by the German metal band Rammstein . It was released on December 1, 2003 on the Motor Music label. The FSK has released the album from the age of 16.

The menu on the DVD was elaborately produced and is considered Hollywood-like. After inserting it, the motor music advertisement known from Live from Berlin starts. After that, the menu does not start immediately, but you are outside the movie theater ( cinema ). Gradually you literally fly into the cinema , where the menu slowly builds up. The DVD contains all videos that have been published up to the DVD's release. Furthermore, TV trailers of singles and albums and an extensive interview. In respect Blitzkrieg! Various TV interviews with and about Rammstein were cut together. Among them is Campino's breakout (Die Toten Hosen). He said literally:

“The Americans like entertainment. And they like David Copperfield and Siegfried & Roy too ! And inasmuch as a "Siegfried & Roy" -like Futzi comes along and makes a little fire, that's great. "

The album cover shows a gray building that represents the Henrichshütte in Hattingen, on the wall of which you can see the Rammstein logo, the sky above is red. The Rammstein and Lichtspielhaus logos are also on the building .

The DVD entered the German charts at number 25 in the 51st calendar week of 2003 and stayed in the top 100 for 9 weeks. In Germany, the DVD reached platinum . This means that the cinema has been sold over 50,000 times in Germany. With over 3,000 copies sold in Switzerland, it was enough for a gold record there .
