The Cadillac Imaj is a concept car that the Cadillac -Division of General Motors at the Geneva Motor Show presented 2000th The luxurious hatchback sedan consistently continued the Cadillac idea of the “Art and Science” design concept. It took up the angular lines of the previous year's Evoq concept vehicle .
The Imaj is powered by a 4.2 l V8 supercharged engine from the Northstar series with 32 valves, which has a maximum output of 425 hp (317 kW ). A five-speed automatic transmission transfers the engine power to all four wheels.
The four doors of the Imaj are hinged on the A and C pillars so that they come together in the middle (as was formerly the case with the BMW 501/502 (“Baroque Angel”) ); the rear doors are designed as sliding doors. The night vision device, which warns of obstacles in front of and behind the vehicle, was also new. The pedals are adjustable to the driver, as is the steering wheel. The dashboard displays are visible through a head-up display in the windshield. Many controls are installed in the steering wheel, including the electronic gear selection. Cruise control and radar parking aids are also on board.
