The Cadillac CT6 (short for Cadillac Touring 6 ) is a passenger car of the upper class of the US car brand Cadillac .
Model history and production
The sedan was formally presented to the public for the first time at the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) 2015. The vehicle is since February 19, 2016, the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant of General Motors built in series production and is based on the Omega - platform of General Motors. On September 5, 2016, the CT6 also came to European dealers. The starting price for the three-liter petrol engine with a maximum output of 307 kW (417 hp) with turbocharging is € 73,500 in Germany. At NYIAS 2018 a facelift was presented for the 2019 model year and under the name "V-Sport" a variant with a twin -turbo- charged V8 gasoline engine from the Blackwing series, limited to 275 copies, was renamed the Cadillac CT6-V at the end of 2018.
Originally in June 2019, production in Detroit was to be discontinued without replacement. This is now expected to take place in January 2020. The CT6 will continue to be built in Jinqiao , China .
CT6 PHEV
The formally CT6 PHEV was presented at the Shanghai Auto Show 2015 . In China came plug-in hybrid in December 2016 the market. The vehicle has been sold in the United States since the second quarter of 2017. Cadillac gives the electric range for the USA at 31 miles (EPA measurement according to US standards), i.e. 50 kilometers. In China, the electric range according to the test standard there is 80 km.
Driver assistance systems
Cadillac offers a system for semi-autonomous driving under the name “Super Cruise” for the CT6 , which is a further development of the adaptive cruise control . The driver's attention, line of sight and position of the head are monitored by an infrared camera in the steering wheel. The components for the steering wheel are supplied by Osram and Joyson Safety Systems . The operating status of the system is output via a multi-colored LED strip (“RGB MultiLED”), which is located in the steering wheel.

Registration numbers
In the first sales year of 2016, 17 CT6s were newly registered in the Federal Republic of Germany. In 2017 there were 55, 2018 49 and 2019 19 models.
