The Cadillac XT5 (abbreviation for Crossover Touring 5 ) is an SUV from the car manufacturer Cadillac . The successor to the Cadillac SRX was formally unveiled to the public at the LA Auto Show in November 2015. The five-seater has been manufactured in the United States and China since spring 2016 . It has been available in Germany since July 2016 at prices starting at 48,800 euros.
It is powered by a 231 kW (314 hp) 3.6-liter V6 petrol engine . A 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine is also available in China. As standard, the system is driven by the front wheels , is optional all-wheel drive available.

The XT5 has a rear-view mirror camera with which a 300 percent better overview can be set. This can be activated and deactivated at the push of a button.
The vehicle with front-wheel drive from the 2017 model year received a four-star rating in the NHTSA crash test , the model year 2018 with all-wheel drive received five stars from the NHTSA and the model year 2017 received a "Moderate overlap front" from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety - Crash test a “good” rating.

Registration numbers
In the first year of sales in 2016, 29 XT5s were newly registered in Germany. In the second sales year there were 137, in the third sales year 184 and in the fourth sales year 220 models.
