The Cadillac Series 63 was a model offered by the US automobile manufacturer General Motors in 1940/41 under the Cadillac brand .

Model history

In the 1940 model year, the Cadillac range was divided into the Series 60S (Sixty Special), Series 61 and 62, Series 63 and Series 72 and 75.

The Series 63 was a new addition to the range. It was a hatchback sedan with a special body with three side windows each (the 62 sedan only had two side windows) on the unchanged wheelbase of the 61/62 series (320 cm). The 63 was powered by a 5.7-liter V8 with upright valves and 135 hp. In terms of price, the 63 was roughly $ 150 higher than the 62 sedan.

When Cadillac resumed car production in May 1946 after the end of the war, the 63 was not continued.

From the end of 1940 to February 1942 , a total of 6800 copies of the 63rd were built, exclusively with Fisher body.
