The Cadillac Series 65 was a 1937/38 model offered by the US automobile manufacturer General Motors under the Cadillac brand .
Model history
In the 1937 model year, the Cadillac range was divided into the Series 60, 65, 70 and 75 with a V8, the Series 85 with a V12 and the Series 90 with a V16 engine.
The Series 65, which was between 60 and 70, was a new addition to the range. It was a sedan with a special body with three side windows each, which produced the longer wheelbase of the 70 series (332.7 cm) with a cheaper one produced by Fisher Bodies Body connected (the Series 70 bodies, however, came from Fleetwood ). The 65 was powered by a 5.7-liter V8 with upright valves and 135 hp. In terms of price, the was $ 65,400 above the 60 sedan, but also $ 500 below the 70 Touring Sedan with Fleetwood body.
In 1938, a better equipped 65 Imperial Sedan and a four-door convertible were added to the range.
With the model year 1939, the 65, after a total of 3877 copies, was taken out of the range again.
