The Cadillac XT4 (short for Crossover Touring 4 ) is a compact SUV from the automobile manufacturer Cadillac , which is positioned under the XT5 . This makes it the brand's smallest SUV and, after the XT5 and CT6, the brand's third model to use the alphanumeric naming scheme introduced in 2016.
history
The XT4 was presented at the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) in March 2018. The variant for the Chinese market was presented in August 2018 . Since then it has also been sold there. The vehicle has been on sale in North America since October 2018. The XT4 has also been available in Europe since June 2020.
The vehicle is built by General Motors in Kansas City, USA, and by SAIC General Motors in Shanghai . It is based on the GM platform E2XX .

In China and the USA, the SUV is powered by a turbocharged two-liter gasoline engine with 177 kW (241 hp). The XT4 has front- wheel drive as standard, all-wheel drive is available at an additional cost . The engine has the engine code LSY and is equipped with the technology named by GM Tripower. By Tripower, GM understands the three operating modes that are achieved by means of valve lift adjustment and cylinder deactivation .
A newly developed two-liter diesel engine with 128 kW (174 hp), which is certified according to the Euro 6d emissions standard, is used in the XT4 on the European market .
