Life

Jenny Rosemeyer was born in East Berlin in 1974 . As a teenager, Rosemeyer was involved in art projects at Berlin's Tacheles . During this time she designed several banknotes for the art campaign " Bone Money Experiment - Artists Make Money ".

From 2002 she was a master class student with Ralf Kerbach (HfBK), several study trips brought her a. a. to Tokyo and North Korea. She lives in Berlin.

She is a great-granddaughter of Otto Grotewohl and married to Christian Lorenz , the keyboardist of the band Rammstein .

Working method

Rosemeyer mainly uses self-made photos of various motifs as templates for the collages, such as buildings and architectural details, objects, landscapes, film sets, toys, models, fonts, print media, but also images of his own installations or collages that have already been created. B / w photo prints are made from these templates. In these reproductions, Rosemeyer often changes the real proportions of the motifs depicted. The actual image statement is created by merging different levels of photographs and reproductions into a final image carrier. In the 2010s he also made a few colored collages.
