Echo award 2008
The Echo 2008 music prize of the German Phono Academy was awarded on February 15 at the ICC in Berlin . The award ceremony was moderated by Nazan Eckes and Oliver Geissen .
As with any Echo Awards, commercial success was responsible for the winner.
All national artists who were on tour in 2007 were nominated in the Best Live Act category . Viewers could choose one of 20 artists on the RTL , Bild and Eventim internet platforms . In a second voting round, the five best out of the ten best artists were chosen.
