Reviews

Music critics usually only gave the album an average rating. Metacritic calculated an average rating of 54% from 24 reviews. This results in the predicate "Mixed or average reviews" (Eng. "Mixed or average reviews").

Laut.de awards 3 out of 5 stars. Critic Dani Fromm writes about the album that it was produced very well and that the rhythm goes very well with the song. She finds criticism from some of the singers on the album and from songs that are too long.

Jody Rosen writes for Entertainment Weekly that some hip-hop fans will not like the album because Timbaland is hitting some other genres. In return, Timbaland shows that he has a musical genius who gives hip-hop something new. She also describes Timbaland as "the Duke Ellington of the 21st century". As an overall grade, it awards the school grade "B", which corresponds to a German two.

Steve Juon, critic of rapreviews.com, gives the album 8 out of 10 points. He thinks that Timbaland shows with this album that his qualities are in the production area and that his work portrays the performing artists very well.

Saul Austerlitz from the Boston Globe thinks that Timbaland manages to combine different styles of music in this album. He sees the song One and Only as a particular highlight, which he produced together with Fall Out Boy .

Allmusic gives the album 2.5 out of 5 stars. Critic Andy Kellman writes about the album that there are too many songs that drag the overall quality down. Still, he finds Timbaland's work praised.

Matthias Reichel from cdstarts.de says that the album offers a lot of variety apart from a few slips and, in contrast to the previous album, shows that Timbaland has a good feel for the production.
