Zimmer 483 is the second studio album by the German band Tokio Hotel . It was published on February 23, 2007 in German-speaking countries and later throughout Europe.
History of origin
Tokio Hotel worked for Zimmer 483 with the same team as on their debut album Schrei . According to their own statements, they had more room to experiment and no deadline to finish the album. During the recordings they focused on the guitar and drum sounds. The song We never die out is the only one in which only Bill and Tom Kaulitz are listed as songwriters. The remaining songs were created by a songwriting collective. The songwriting was democratic, all four members of Tokio Hotel had to be convinced of the songs.
The album title is based on an existing hotel room that is very important to the band. The band keeps the exact background of the title naming secret. Contrary to speculation to the contrary, the room number has nothing to do with sex.
The single Übers Ende der Welt was released on January 26, 2007 before the album was released. The album itself followed on February 23, 2007 as a normal CD version and as a "Limited Deluxe Version" with an accompanying DVD. This includes a photo shoot, an exclusive interview, the music video for Übers Ende der Welt and the corresponding making-of . On June 1, 2007, an English version of the album will also be released for the European market under the title Room 483 .
The corresponding tour start in mid-March, however, had to be postponed by two weeks because the stage could not be completed on time. The tour was filmed and released as a live album , a double DVD and a feature film in autumn 2007.

Song info
About the end of the world , opening song and first single, was created quite early at the end of the last tour for the Schrei album and represents for the band a process of reflection on their rapid and rapid rise from an unknown school band to one of the most successful bands in Germany. The music video picks up on the Metropolis theme by director Fritz Lang and was implemented as a dark black and white film . The song Reden also deals with the rock star problem. With Dead Loved , Forgotten Children and By Your Side (Ich Bin Da) three ballads can be found on the album. The second single Spring nicht , released on June 4, 2007, deals with the subject of suicide , while Stich ins Glück deals with drug abuse.
