Humanoid is the third German-language and the second English-language studio album by the band Tokio Hotel . Both versions were released on October 2, 2009 . Most of the songs were written by Dave Roth, Patrick Benzner, David Jost, Bill Kaulitz and Tom Kaulitz.

history

After Tokio Hotel released their album Zimmer 483 and their first English-language album Scream / Room483 in 2007, the band was mainly touring in 2008. The release date of the new album was set for March 2009, as the band was followed by a fan group during this time, the production had to be postponed. The album was again produced by David Roth, Patrick Benzner, David Jost, Peter Hoffmann and Tom and Bill Kaulitz.

Humanoid has been sold about a million times worldwide. The album was in the German charts for 17 weeks and dropped from number one to number 25 after a week. It stayed in the charts for five weeks in Austria (eighth place) and seven weeks in Switzerland (tenth place). In the US, the album was in the charts for three weeks (# 35).

Single releases

The first single on the album was the song Automatic on September 18, 2009 . After the single entered number five, it dropped to number 29 in the second week and off the charts after nine weeks. In Austria the piece reached number 14 and lasted seven weeks; in Switzerland, the single took 44th place and stayed there for six weeks. As the second single on March 29, 2010 Let's run for download published. It was the band's first single that didn't hit the charts.
