Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht (* 27. December 1991 in Munich ) is a German actor and pop - rapper .

Private life

He is the son of Natascha and Uwe Ochsenknecht and has three siblings: the actor Wilson Gonzalez , a sister, Cheyenne Savannah, and a half-brother, Rocco Stark , who comes from an earlier relationship with his father. His first name is derived from the guitarist Jimi Hendrix . Ochsenknecht said he received his middle name "Blue" when he was born in the hospital after he turned blue because the umbilical cord had wrapped around his neck several times. In July 2007 he obtained the qualifying secondary school diploma . Today he lives in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg.

Career

Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht made his film debut in 2000 in the award-winning film Enlightenment Guaranteed , in which he stood in front of the camera with his brother and father. Both brothers achieved their breakthrough as child stars shortly afterwards with the children's book adaptation Die Wilden Kerle , followed by four very successful sequels. For the first part of the series, Jimi Blue and his brother Wilson received the Undine Award for best film debutants in 2004 , which opened the door to German youth cinema for Jimi in particular. In 2008 he played in the Coming of Age-flick Summer (2008) alongside Sonja Gerhardt, a city boy who, after moving to the sea, asserted himself in his new surroundings. a. has to show a lot of courage for his first big love. In 2010, Ochsenknecht slipped into the role of Adnan Köses, a stubborn rapper from a wealthy family, in the music film Homies .

On November 16, 2007 he appeared for the first time as a singer at The Dome 44 in Graz . In November he released the album Mission Blue on Universal ; for which he received a gold record. His songs were written by producers Rob Tyger, Kay Denar, Marc Mozart, Michael Cretu and Felix Gauder. Ochsenknecht himself describes the style as a mixture of hip-hop , pop , dance and R'n'B . He named Pharrell Williams and Justin Timberlake as role models .

In January 2013 he made his catwalk debut at the Michael Michalsky show at Berlin Fashion Week. In spring 2017 it ran for Riani and S. Oliver. In July 2014 he also presented his own fashion label “Racks and Rookies”. Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht has been on the road as "DJ Brando" since 2013 and toured Germany in September 2014 for MTV and Nicknight . In April 2017 Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht founded his own production company "Le Bleux Production", with which he produces music and advertising videos.

In June 2016 the comedy "Seitenwechsel" with Wotan Wilke Möhring and Anna Maria Mühe appeared , in January 2016 "Die wilden Kerle 6". Since 2010 he has had his own show on Cartoon Network with “Network interns - Jimi and Mitja do the job check” , for which he received the “MIRA Award” and the “White Elephant” in 2014.

On June 9, 2017, his single Schütteln from his third studio album "3LUE" was released. For the first time Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht sings and raps in German and co-wrote and co-produced all the songs. His sound is a mixture of pop and German-language hip-hop and rap, which he describes as urban pop .

In July 2018 Ochsenknecht was seen on a theater stage for the first time. In front of the Worms Cathedral , he played Siegfried's son in the staging of Siegfried's heirs by Roger Vontobel at the Nibelungen Festival there .

In 2011 he took part in the Sat.1 Winter Games of the Stars and won the competition together with Ruth Moschner . In 2012 Ochsenknecht took part in the Star Race adventure show. He won the competition with Nino de Angelo and donated the profit to a good cause. In October 2012 he took part in Stefan Raab's TV total Stock Car Crash Challenge and won the race in the 1500 cm³ class. In 2014 he was also at the big Sat.1 driver's license show.

He was also seen on the TV channel VOX in some celebrity programs. In 2012, he was a candidate together with his mother Natascha Ochsenknecht at the Mother's Day special from The Perfect Celebrity Dinner , in 2014 as a candidate for Promi Shopping Queen and in 2015 as a candidate in the cooking show Grill den Henssler . In 2018 he was seen in the 11th season of the RTL show Let's Dance , but had to retire due to injury. In 2019 he opened a bar in Berlin.
