Marit Larsen
Marit Elisabeth Larsen (born July 1, 1983 in Lørenskog ) is a Norwegian pop singer , guitarist and songwriter .
Career
She became known as a member of the pop duo M2M with her friend Marion Raven . After separating in 2002, she started her solo career in 2004/2005. She recorded her debut album Under the Surface with her new record company EMI . Her breakthrough came with her first single Don't Save Me and she was number 1 in Norway for five weeks . The debut album Under the Surface reached number three.
In 2006 she won an MTV Award at the MTV Europe Music Awards in the category "Best Norwegian Artist".
After a one-year release hiatus, Marit Larsen returned in the summer of 2008 with the single If a Song Could Get Me You and came first in Norway for the second time , this time for two weeks. The song was released in July 2009 in German-speaking countries. In Germany and Austria the song reached No. 1 in Switzerland Place 2. For these countries, a new album from the songs of the two previously released albums in Norway has been compiled and published under the same title as the song. It also reached top chart positions. At the end of 2009 she started her first tour through Germany and Switzerland, which initially lasted until December.
In January 2010 she re-recorded the song Out of My Hands in Brussels together with the Belgian singer Milow . The song was included on the March 2010 re-release of their album If a Song Could Get Me You . In February and March 2010 Larsen came to Germany for another 12 concerts. In the summer of 2010, Larsen attended various events broadcast on German television ( TV total , ARD Eurovisionsparty, ZDF-Fernsehgarten , Popstars ) to promote her single Don't Save Me , which was released on July 30, 2010.
On December 30, 2011, she had a guest appearance in the telenovela Anna and Love . On April 7th, she performed at the music show Die Frühlingsshow on ZDF . With Spark , Larsen released their second album in Germany on November 18, 2011. Shortly afterwards, in April 2012, a tour of Germany followed. The fourth studio album When the Morning Comes was released in Norway in October 2014. The single I Don't Want to Talk About It was released on August 4th.
Private life
Marit Larsen lives in Oslo . She was dating the singer Thom Hell , who left Larsen's band due to the relationship. In the summer of 2010, the couple separated again after three years of relationship. Her father Geir Tore Larsen plays in the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. Your mother is a pianist.
