Peter-Jan Wagemans

Peter-Jan Wagemans (born September 7, 1952 in The Hague ) is a Dutch composer .

Life

Wagemans studied organ , composition (with Jan van Vlijmen ) and music theory at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague . He then continued his composition studies with Klaus Huber at the Musikhochschule Freiburg. His extensive catalog raisonné includes all genres, but the focus is on symphonic works.

Peter-Jan Wagemans has been teaching composition and music theory at the Rotterdam Conservatory since 1984 . He is co-founder of the Rotterdam School .
