Michael "Mike" Knörr (born January 20, 1966 in Zirndorf ) is a former German basketball player with US citizenship .

career

Knörr played at East Texas State University (later renamed Texas A&M University - Commerce) in the second division of the NCAA . In both years he achieved statistical peak values ​​for the university team. Following the 1988/89 season, Knorr was named “Player of the Year” by the Lone Star Conference. Overall, he posted an average of 21.1 points and 10.8 rebounds per encounter for East Texas in 55 missions.

Knörr played nine seasons as a professional for the German first division club SSV ratiopharm Ulm , with whom he won the German Cup in 1996 and was runner-up in 1998. He ran in 40 games for the German national basketball team.

Knörr was 16th among the top scorers of the 1995/96 class. During his Bundesliga career, he scored a total of 4254 points.
