Elsbeth Rickers

Elsbeth Rickers (born April 20, 1916 in Essen ; † September 18, 2014 in Drolshagen ) was a German CDU politician .

Life

education and profession

Elsbeth Rickers attended a girls' high school and obtained secondary school leaving certificate. In 1936 and 1937, respectively, she passed state exams as a nurse and as an X-ray assistant. From 1937 to 1939 she worked as an X-ray nurse and from 1939 to 1941 as a surgical nurse.

politics

Elsbeth Rickers had been a member of the CDU since 1947. From 1969 to 1978 she was district chairman and deputy state chairwoman of the women's association (today: Frauen-Union ) of the then CDU Westphalia-Lippe, from 1968 to 1977 she worked as a member of the state board of the CDU Westphalia-Lippe. Rickers acted as deputy district chairwoman of the Olpe district CDU from 1969 to 1978. In 1964 she became a member of the Olpe district council. She was chairwoman of the youth welfare committee at that time (today: youth welfare committee ) from 1964 to 1979, of the social committee from 1964 to 1975 and from 1979. She became a member of the district committee in 1975.

Elsbeth Rickers was honorary chairwoman of the CDU women's association Kreis Olpe and the CDU district association Sieger- / Sauerland.

In 1966 she became a managing board member in the VdK district association Siegen-Olpe-Wittgenstein and a member of the regional board of the VdK Germany. In 1969 she took over the chairmanship of the prison advisory board of the Attendorn correctional facility. She became deputy chairwoman of the Caritas Association in the Archdiocese of Paderborn in 1973. From 1974 she was a member of the Central Council of the German Caritas Association .

Elsbeth Rickers was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from October 27, 1969 to July 25, 1970 and from December 27, 1971 to May 29, 1985 . She moved to the 6th state parliament on October 27, 1969. On December 27, 1971, she also moved up to the 7th state parliament. From May 28, 1975 to May 28, 1980 she was a directly elected member of the 8th state parliament for the constituency 130 Olpe. She moved into the 9th state parliament via the state list.
