Miki Del Prete

Michele "Miki" Del Prete (born July 23, 1935 in Bari ) is an Italian songwriter and music producer .

Career

Since his father was a footballer , Del Prete moved to Milan early . There he started performing as a rock 'n' roll dancer in the 1950s . Since 1959 he worked with Adriano Celentano , for whom he wrote his first song Impazzivo per te in 1961 . In the further course of the 1960s, Del Prete mostly worked with Celentano and Luciano Beretta and was jointly responsible for some of Celentano's greatest hits, such as Ciao ragazzi (1965), Il ragazzo della via Gluck (1966), La coppia più bella del mondo ( 1967), Una carezza in un pugno (1968) or Chi non lavora non fa l'amore (1970). He wrote little for other interpreters, the best-known song of which was Nessuno mi può giudicare for Caterina Caselli (1966). With the 1970s he reduced his activities as a lyricist, from the 1980s he worked as a producer (again for Celentano). His collaboration with Celentano also extended to television broadcasts and the administration of the record company Clan Celentano .
