Caterina Caselli

Caterina Caselli (born April 10, 1946 in Sassuolo ) is an Italian singer , actress and music producer .

In 1966 she made her debut at the Sanremo Festival with the song Nessuno mi può giudicare , a song rejected by Adriano Celentano , for which she later got a gold record . She was one of the most popular Italian singers in the 1960s and 1970s. Her song Desiderare was used by Luchino Visconti in the film Violence and Passion .

She is president of Sugar Music , Andrea Bocelli's record label , which she discovered in 1992.
