Miki Tanaka ( Japanese 田 中美 衣 Tanaka Miki ; born October 20, 1987 ) is a former Japanese judoka . In 2010 she was second in the world championship in the weight class up to 63 kilograms.

Miki Tanaka finished third in the Grand Slam tournament in Tokyo at the end of 2008 . At the beginning of 2009 she won her first World Cup tournament in Sofia. At the Universiade 2009 in Belgrade, she finished second behind the Taiwanese Wang Chin-Fang . In late 2009 she won the Southeast Asian Championships. In 2010, Miki Tanaka finished second behind Yoshie Ueno at the Japanese Championships . At the 2010 World Championships in Tokyo Tanaka reached the final with a semi-final victory over the Cuban Yaritza Abel , which she lost to Yoshie Ueno. In 2011 Tanaka reached the finals at the Universiade in Shenzhenand took second place behind Esther Stam from the Netherlands . In early 2012 she won the Grand Slam tournament in Paris . At the Japanese Championships in 2012, she lost to Yoshie Ueno. Yoshie Ueno then started for Japan at the Olympic Games in London . In 2013 Tanaka won a bronze medal at the Asian Championships in Bangkok. At the 2013 World Championships in Rio de Janeiro, she finished seventh. Her last major tournament was the Grand Prix in Budapest in 2015, where she was eliminated in the round of 16 against the Australian Katharina Haecker .
