Judo Grand Slam tournament in Japan
The Grand Slam tournament in Japan is a judo tournament in Japan . It is the last Judo Grand Slam tournament on the annual calendar .
The tournament took place in Tokyo from 2008 to 2017 , and in Osaka in 2018 and 2019 . The return to the Nippon Budōkan in Tokyo is announced from 2020 . Before 2008, the Jigoro Kano Cup had been held 15 times in Tokyo since 1978 , although only women competed in 2007. From 1983 to 2006, the Fukuoka Cup took place 24 times as a women's tournament .
