Hifumi Abe ( Japanese 阿 部 一 二三 ; born August 9, 1997 in Kobe ) is a Japanese judoka . He became world champion in the weight class up to 66 kg for the first time in 2017 . At the Judo World Championships in 2018 , he managed to defend his title. His sister Uta Abe is also a judoka and was also able to win gold at the 2018 World Cup, so that for the first time brother and sister won World Championship gold in one day. In 2019 he won bronze at the World Championships in Tokyo .
