Mikion (potter)
Mikion (Μικιων) was a Greek potter who worked in Athens in the late 5th century BC. Chr.
He is known for his potter's signature on two vases and a pinax :
- Fragment of a Lekanis from the Pnyx : Athens, Agora Pnyx 124 (P 349)
- Fragments of a lekanis from the Athens Acropolis : Athens, National Museum Akr. 594
- Fragment of a pinax from the Athens Acropolis: Athens, National Museum Akr. 1051
The two Lekanis fragments were decorated by the same painter who was later named the Mikion painter , the Pinax was painted by another painter.
