Mikko Iivanainen

Mikko Iivanainen (* 1975 ) is a Finnish jazz guitarist.

Iivanainen became known in 1998 as a member of the improvisational trio Free Control , with whom he recorded two albums. on the second recording, the group accompanied the singer Johanna Niemelä, who became Iivanainen's wife. With her he recorded the album Johanna Iivanainen , which was released in 2004.

With Juhani Aaltonen and Klaus Suonsaari he founded the group Nordic Trinity , whose debut album Wonders Never Cease was released in 2006. He also recorded as a sideman with the group Kurkirku and the band Loco Motife led by Iro Haarla and Ulf Krokfors .
