Mikołaj Trąba Herb Trąby (* around 1358 in Sandomierz ; † December 2, 1422 in Lubicy in Spiš ) was the Polish Kanclerz (1403-1412), the Archbishop of Halytsch (1410-1412), Archbishop of Gniezno (1412-1422) as well the first Primate Poloniae (1417–1422). He obtained the last title for himself and his successors at the Council of Constance . There he was one of the six members of the Germanic Council nation [Germanica (with Scandinavia, Poland, Lithuania, Croatia, Hungary, Bohemia)] and thus involved in the papal election. Since 1417 every Archbishop of Gniezno has always been a Primate of Poland .
